Oh boy… being pregnant in the US feels like a full time job… Sort of 😉 What a difference with the Netherlands, even though I obviously have no idea what it’s like to be pregnant in the Netherlands, but still!
For example health insurance is lousy
People often ask me if there is anything I miss from the Netherlands. I have to disappoint them (and you), because I don’t. Of course I’m happy when I stumble upon typical Dutch products in LA, like appelstroop, stroopwafels or beschuit. And the Christmas Stollen and bitterballen I made myself where also to die for.
But really missing those things? Nah… And you know why not?
I wanted to post this recipe for a Roasted garlic and lentil soup here on this blog but somehow I ended up posting it on my Dutch blog first.
I love soup, but this will be the first soup recipe on this blog. Shame on me!
Maybe the weather in LA is still too good to start making soup? I don’t know about you but I guess I only think of soup in connection to fall or winter. Maybe I should promise myself to make a big pan of soup each week. Tomato soup with meatballs, Potato leek soup, Mushroom soup, Chick Pea soup,
