There she is again, with another sweet recipe. Yeah I’m sorry… Frieda’s sent me another box of great products and there were three beautiful Meyer lemons in it. Meyer lemons aren’t just normal lemons, they are a special kind of lemons. Just like key limes are a different kind of limes as you could read in my post about key lime pie. So many ideas what to do with the variegated pink lemons Frieda’s sent me! I was really hoping to receive some Meyer Lemons as I have never tried them before. They don’t exist in the Netherlands and even after living in Los Angeles for almost a year now, I still haven’t had them. But the Meyer Lemons weren’t available so Frieda’s made sure I would get my lemon-fix with these beautiful lemons that are pink-ish on the inside.

People often ask me if there is anything I miss from the Netherlands. I have to disappoint them (and you), because I don’t. Of course I’m happy when I stumble upon typical Dutch products in LA, like appelstroop, stroopwafels or beschuit. And the Christmas Stollen and bitterballen I made myself where also to die for.
But really missing those things? Nah… And you know why not?
I know I know I know… it’s not even Christmas yet and I’m already giving you a cocktail recipe for New Year’s eve. But I’m so excited about this one, so don’t look at me like that 😉
